Easy baked French toast with fall flavors that can be made ahead of time! The pecan streusel on top adds balance with a crunch!
Grease 10" or equivalent baking dish
Place cubed bread in baking dish, set aside
In a medium bowl, which the remaining ingredients, up until the streusel section
Pour custard over the bread in the baking dish
Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to rest, for at least an hour and up to overnight
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees
While the oven is preheating, in a small bowl, combine all the streusel ingredients
Mix with a pastry cutter or a fork, to break up the pieces of butter
Sprinkle streusel mixture on top of the casserole
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes
