Truly Perfect Frosting
I am incredibly picky with frosting. I have tried countless recipes in order to find something just right with no luck- smooth and creamy, not too sweet, and easy/quick to make. It seemed impossible, until now. I stumbled across a recipe that called for flour and I was skeptical. Very skeptical. I read the reviews and it seemed across the board positive. I’m always wary of recipes where reviews say it’s great, but then list all of the ways they tweaked it. This wasn’t like that. This is full of reviews of people who followed the recipe to a T and it turned out great. This was very promising.
I can say that this is the perfect frosting recipe. I followed it exactly as written and it came out perfect. Words do not do it justice. The consistency is indescribable. Perfectly smooth- no grittiness at all. No dry crust formed on the outside. Not too sweet. Just perfect. It was everything that I imagine a perfect frosting to be.
I used this on dark chocolate cupcakes (the only chocolate cake recipe I use – I often make mini cupcakes & bake for 10 minutes) that I brought to a family gathering and everyone raved about how great they were.
If you are looking to make cupcakes that impress and that taste like they were made by a professional (maybe even arguably better), then you should give these recipes a try.
