I wanted a space to share my favorite products! I have wasted a lot of time and money on products and hope to save others from doing so as well. I do a lot of research into what I buy and use, so I hope others find this beneficial. all of these items make really excellent gifts for people as well!
1. The first is this garlic rocker press. The traditional garlic press is a pain. We don’t like all the little pieces that are hard to clean, water getting trapped in the handles, etc. This is one complete piece and easy to clean. It’s super easy to use to. I smash the garlic with one of the handles, peel the garlic and then use the rocking motion over it to mince the garlic. And that is it! Easy to use and easy to clean!
2. Another item I love is this spatula. Out of all the spatulas we own (which is a lot consisting of various types), this is the one most used. It’s really easy to clean too. We like items that are one solid piece because we don’t have to worry about water getting trapped anywhere and dealing with mold. Nothing grosser than the handle of a spoon or spatula coming apart due to use, etc and seeing nastiness growing inside it. Ick! We use it to cook eggs, flip pancakes, flip or scoop roasting veggies or french fries off of the pan, removing cookies from the pan to cool, cooking hash browns… you get the idea. And it’s only $8 (plus free shipping if you are a prime member).
3. Le Creuset Signature Cast Iron French/Dutch Oven. Now this is not a cheap item. But one very worth having. We have had one for several years, and the positives I can say are that it cooks evenly and is easy to clean. It gets used often. I make soups, stews, and roasts in it. It’s just a really high quality item I know will last a very long time (they also have a lifetime warranty).
4. This is also an item I recommend everyone have. Especially if you have kids/family that love waffles. I got this one year for Christmas and it has been a well worth it purchase. My oldest child has always loved waffles. Which is why I got this. I tried a traditional waffle maker and it was a pain. It took forever to cook a batch of waffles, one at a time. I struggled with getting the right color, etc. I was fed up and decided to just get something good. I’m so glad I did. I can make 12 waffles in hardly any time due to being able to make 4 at a time. I can adjust the darkness to exactly how I like them and to what is recommended for the type of waffle. I make batches of waffles and freeze them so that I can pull them out as needed. This makes that prep so easy.
Cons are that is is large and takes up a good chunk of counter space.
5. Kitchen Aid hand mixer. I bake, a lot and to be honest, I haven’t found the need for a stand mixer! I use a basic hand mixer. I am short on kitchen space, so I have nowhere to even put a big stand mixer! Personally, I don’t think a stand mixer is necessary and is totally a “luxury” item. I have had my hand mixer for almost 10 years and have no complaints. I have used all the basic attachments that it came with and all have worked just as they are supposed to. I wasn’t able to find the exact one I have, since it’s so old. But this is the newer version.
6. Silicone spatulas. I use these for everything. Scrambling eggs, mixing batters, sauteing, etc.
7. A spoonula? I love this product because it’s a mix of a spoon and a spatula. I use this when I want to use the same utensil to serve a dish that I also used when making the dish. It cuts down on the number of dishes I use and need to clean!
8. Pyrex mixing bowls. I love Pyrex. They make super cute glass storage bowls. That I can’t resist getting for every holiday. This bowl set is hands down one of my most used items. We use them for leftovers and for when I make a large batch of something for the week like one of my quinoa salads. They’re great to use when making waffle batter or cakes. Or anything baking related. I use them when making whipped cream. Egg whites, frosting, and whipped cream whip up beautifully in them. they stack nicely together so they don’t take up a ton of room either.
9. All-Clad Griddle. This is my go-to pan for cooking breakfasts. Cooks up pancakes perfectly. No need to grease this pan! Clean up is a breeze too.
