Easy Drop Biscuits
I never thought I could make good biscuits. I had tried so many recipes and they all came out terrible. I don’t know what I was doing wrong! They always came out hard, flat and dry, no matter what I did. I followed all the tips and tricks. So I gave up.
But then recently, I was really in the mood for beef stew, and biscuits go perfectly with that. I decided to give biscuits one more try. After searching and searching, I discovered that you don’t need to use cold butter! I like simple and this fit the bill.
This recipe is a great all purpose biscuit. They have just a hint of sweetness so while they were a perfect compliment to my beef stew, they were also really good the next morning toasted and topped with butter and jam.
It’s as easy as throwing all the ingredients into a bowl and gently mixing. That’s it. No need to worry about how cold your butter is or making sure the butter is broken up into the flour enough, etc. You don’t need to roll out the dough or go through any of that fuss!
These are crisp on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. In my opinion, just an all around perfect biscuit!
